Sr Specialist Software Engineering - Database Developer/Data Modeler

This position is a hands-on technical leader for new Network Surveillance Management technology that supports AT&T’s leading edge networks and services, such as network virtualization and 5G, which require extensive surveillance and cross-domain correlation across multiple services. Evaluate and introduce strategic technology to enable Service Assurance architectural goals and transformation goals. This position requires technical leadership, innovation, and deep subject matter expertise in Network Service Assurance.

Will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models and ETL processes, testing, deployment, and support of Network Service Assurance applications.

Required work includes collaborating with system engineers, participating in scrum, development and testing code to meet requirements, troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and optimize processes for continuous improvement and fixing security vulnerabilities.

Required Skills:

• Very strong expertise in database SQL and PL/SQL skills. Preferably in Snowflake database.
• Creation of Store Procedures.
• Complex SQL statements: Correlate, join, and optimize data for improved performance.
• JQuery to interact with JSON data
• Data modeling experience.
• Prior experience in working with ETL tools.
• Experience with working with message/event buses
• Develop text manipulation functions using Bash and other scripting languages.
• Experience interacting with REST APIs for data extraction.
• Prior working experience in telecom OSS projects.
• Experience in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle including Requirements, Design and Architecture, Development, testing and Quality Assurance, Deployment and Release Management and Maintenance and Support.
• Telecom OSS domain knowledge.
• Overall Experience: 8+ years in relevant technologies.
• Open to work in overlapping with US work hours (1:30pm IST-10:30pm IST)
