Snowflake GenAI - Senior Associate

At PwC – as a Senior Developer, the candidate should have expertise in Snowflake, including practical experience leveraging Snowflake AI features, advanced Python programming skills, and knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies. The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cloud data solutions, integrating AI capabilities within Snowflake, and building scalable and efficient data transformation pipelines. This role requires collaborating with technical teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative AI-powered data solutions

Position Requirements

Must Have:

• Develop and deploy machine learning models within Snowflake using SnowML to enable in-database analytics and AI workloads.
• Implement and manage Snowflake External Functions to connect with external AI/ML services and APIs seamlessly.
• Experience in Python programming for data engineering, automation, AI model integration, and extending Snowflake functionalities.
• Practical experience building and deploying Generative AI (GenAI) applications or models, utilizing open-source or commercial AI frameworks.
• Strong SQL skills and expertise with Snowflake utilities like SnowSQL, SnowPipe, and managing data sharing.
• Experience developing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion workflows, and data transformation within cloud platforms.
• Utilize Snowflake’s data sharing and governance features to securely expose AI-generated datasets to stakeholders.
• Optimize AI workloads for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness within the Snowflake environment.
• Effective communication skills to work within Agile teams and engage with business and technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications and design.
• Manage Snowflake data objects including tables, views, stages, streams, and tasks with focus on performance and cost optimization.
• Should be aware in deploying Snowflake features such as data sharing, events and lake-house patterns
• Should have experience with data security and data access controls and design
• Good to have AWS, Azure or GCP data storage and management technologies such as S3, Blob/ADLS and Google Cloud Storage
• Should have clear understanding of DW Lifecycle and contributed in preparing technical design documents and test plans
• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge sharing within the team.

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face for model development or deployment.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for AI workloads.
• Certifications in Snowflake (SnowPro Core) and GenAI are highly desirable.
• Experience with business intelligence tools and embedding AI-driven insights into dashboards.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of additional data tools/technologies such as Python, Apache Spark and Kafka
