Senior Website Engineer

As a Senior Website Engineer on the Web Platform team, you will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and fellow frontend developers to build high-quality UI components and product features. You will play a meaningful role in shaping our web experiences by understanding user needs, solving interface challenges, and contributing to smooth, reliable workflows across our products.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex features across our web platform and micro frontends.
  
• Define web architecture and boundaries; champion shared libraries, design tokens, and CI/CD standards.
  
• Optimize SSR, hydration/resumability, and Core Web Vitals for TypeScript/Qwik‑ or React‑like stacks; set performance budgets.
  
• Ensure reliability, security, and compliance in key user flows (auth, payments, KYC) with robust observability and SLOs.
  
• Establish testing strategy (unit, E2E, contract, visual); raise coverage and prevent regressions.
  
• Own accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), internationalization, and localization workflows.
  
• Partner with Product/Design/Backend to shape roadmaps and deliver incrementally.
  
• Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, write docs/ADRs, run technical workshops.
  
• Improve pipelines (Azure Pipelines), releases, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Expert TypeScript, semantic HTML/CSS/Tailwind; deep knowledge of SSR frameworks.
  
• Strong system design for web: caching/CDN, microfrontend composition, API contracts, security.
  
• Proven performance optimization and scalability for real‑time UIs.
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
  

Experience Requirements

• 6+ years building large‑scale web apps; 2+ years leading projects/teams.
  
• Production experience with SSR frameworks, microfrontends, and Azure CI/CD.
  
• Track record improving Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and test reliability at scale.
