Senior Software Engineer - Backend

The Opportunity:

ECI has an exciting Opportunity for Sr. Backend Engineer. We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with strong expertise in ETL processes and code conversion. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing data ingestion, maintaining code repositories, and rewriting Python scripts in C#.

This is an Onsite role.

What you will do:

• ETL Support:
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to ingest data from third-party FTP/SFTP accounts.
• Create reports based on business use cases.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the ETL process.

• Code Rewriting:
• Rewrite existing Python code (using Flask library) in C# within the .NET framework.
• Ensure the new codebase is efficient, maintainable, and scalable.
• Application Support:
• Provide support for front-end applications.
• Upgrade AngularJS components as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly.
• Code Maintenance:
• Access and maintain code in GitHub.
• Manage manual deployment processes.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
  

• E Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in ETL processes, backend development, and code conversion.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Python and C#.
• Experience with Flask and .NET framework.
• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including AngularJS.
• Familiarity with GitHub for code management.
• Understanding of FTP/SFTP protocols for data ingestion.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with data analysis.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
