Senior Product Manager Applied AI

The Uber Eats has the vision of building the most preferred online delivery platform for merchants globally. This team builds great experiences for merchants across their entire lifecycle of running and growing an online food delivery business.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager on the Applied AI team to drive the next generation of AI-powered capabilities that help merchants seamlessly operate, scale, and thrive on Uber Eats. In this role, you will design and deliver products that serve a diverse range of merchants, from large enterprise food chains to small independent restaurants worldwide.

You will be responsible for turning cutting-edge AI and ML technologies into practical, merchant-facing solutions from intelligent recommendations and performance insights to workflow automation and customer engagement tools. What the Candidate Will Do

• Define the product strategy and roadmap for AI-driven merchant solutions, aligned with Uber Eats broader Merchant vision and business goals.
• Translate technical advancements in AI, ML, and Generative AI into practical, user-facing products that drive measurable outcomes for merchants.
• Deeply understand merchant needs across diverse segments, from enterprise partners to small independent restaurants, and advocate for their success in every decision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across AI, Engineering, Data Science, Design, Operations, and Regional Teams to deliver scalable and reliable products.
• Drive execution from concept to launch, making informed tradeoffs across technical feasibility, user value, and long-term platform evolution.
• Measure and iterate, defining success metrics, evaluating impact, and continuously improving product performance using data and user feedback.
• Communicate strategy and progress effectively to stakeholders and executives, influencing across teams to ensure alignment and delivery.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical or analytical field.
• 6+ years of product management experience, including building and launching complex, high-impact products.
• Experience working with AI and ML technologies, including applied or generative AI use cases.
• Proven ability to define long-term vision, lead cross-functional execution, and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset and data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
  
  

• Masters degree in Business Administration or an analytical or technical field.
• Experience building AI or ML-driven products at scale in commerce, marketplaces, or SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with GenAI technologies such as LLMs, embeddings, or multimodal models, and how they can enhance merchant experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to balance innovation with practicality, delivering value fast while building for long-term scalability.
• High ownership and a builder mentality, passionate about redefining how merchants run and grow their businesses.
• Deep empathy for merchants and small businesses, with an understanding of their operational challenges and opportunities.
