Job Description

The Assistant Supply Chain Manager is a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of supply chain processes within an organization. This position supports the Supply Chain Manager in managing logistics, inventory, procurement, and the coordination of goods from suppliers to end-users. The Assistant Supply Chain Manager plays a crucial part in optimizing the supply chain processes and maintaining sustainability and efficiency. This job requires excellent communication and analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments. The candidate must be able to develop and implement strategies to enhance operational productivity and performance. Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and requisition materials to maintain optimum stock.
  • Support the management of logistics operations, including warehousing and transportation.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify and address areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain activities.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding logistics and procurement.
  • Provide support in resolving any logistics or supply chain-related issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs to streamline supply chain processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics coordination roles.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with vendors and teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
