Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Execution Consultant. The Wells Fargo Investment Portfolio (IP) manages the Companys Available-For-Sale (AFS) and Held-To-Maturity (HTM) securities and certain loan portfolios, hedging of the Home Lending Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) asset, and the Reinsurance, Bank Owned Life Insurance (BOLI) and Risk and Insurance Management (RIM) businesses as part of the Finance group. IP also supports balance sheet interest rate risk management and related strategy, coordination, execution responsibilities, as well as a centralized, street-facing derivative trading team, and mortgage model development services for the enterprise
The Senior Business Execution Consultant will be a key member of the Investment Portfolio Product team, driving the execution of business and technology transformation strategies. This role will support the implementation of streamlined business processes and end-user products for Trading, Securities Portfolio Management and Analytics, Mortgage Modeling, Hedging, and Corporate Economics. Specifically, this role will focus on technology solutions supporting Mortgage Modeling, collaborating closely with technology and quantitative teams to ensure model monitoring and adherence to model risk management policies and procedures, including comprehensive documentation, rigorous testing, and thorough validation.

In This Role, You Will
- Lead support functions or operations for multiple business groups and contribute to large scale strategic initiatives
- Ensure efficiency, quality, cost effectiveness of solutions, and pipeline management relating to assigned operations
- Research moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives that require analytical skills, basic knowledge of organizational strategy and Business Execution, and understanding of international business
- Work independently to make recommendations for support function by providing support and leadership
- Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer experience
- Collaborate and consult with team leaders in developing project plans, policies and procedures
- Provide leadership in management of relationships and implementation of programs, services, and initiatives with cross functional business partners
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with financial concepts related to trading and investment portfolios, hedging, assets and liabilities, forecasting, financial analysis, and balance sheet behavior.
- Experience working with mortgage modeling, quants, and model developers in a Data Science (AI/ML) environment.
- Proficiency in JIRA and Agile/Scrum methodologies, including story creation. Agile certification (CSM/CSPO/PSM) is a plus.
- Experience with Confluence and SharePoint.
- Experience in rapid prototyping of AI solutions to validate concepts and gather feedback, including developing Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate the value of AI.
- Experience utilizing AI-powered tools such as MS365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning models using platforms like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), MongoDB, ETL pipelines, data modeling, and data quality.
- Experience with tools like Git/GitHub, Unix Shell/Bash, Jupyter Notebook, and Visual Studio.
- Bachelors or masters degree in information technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in Scrum methodologies and Agile project management, including experience performing Scrum Master duties across multiple teams.
- Understanding of model risk policies and standards related to market and interest rate risks associated with mortgage positions.
- Experience building AI-powered applications and prototypes using Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for AI model training and deployment.
- Experience creating interactive dashboards and reports to visualize AI model performance and insights.
- Experience in business execution, implementation, or strategic planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Serve as Scrum Master, managing user requirements, backlog prioritization, release documentation, and user guides to facilitate effective change management for business process implementations.
- Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of diverse programs, services, and initiatives, employing agile methodologies for efficient and impactful delivery.
- Collaborate with product teams in design sessions to translate user needs into robust and scalable feature functionality.
- Partner with the business to ensure the effective development, rigorous testing, and seamless deployment of solutions.
- Champion accountability for assigned initiatives, proactively mitigating risk exposure and driving operational efficiencies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of support functions and business performance, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments through data analysis and fact-finding to resolve complex challenges and formulate effective, tailored solutions.
- Exercise sound judgment in complex scenarios, facilitating informed decision-making and efficient issue resolution, while supporting the successful implementation of developed solutions and strategic plans.
- Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to advance strategic initiatives and achieve organizational objectives.
- Ensure solutions are meticulously designed, seamlessly integrated, and rigorously controlled to maximize effectiveness and minimize potential risk exposure.
