We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President Global Delivery and Enablement Subject Matter Expert

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support the global delivery of the Operational Resilience framework into new markets (Year 1 deployment), working with the Infrastructure and Embedding team to train and implement the Operational Resilience Framework.
  • Manage deployment activities, which include ensuring adherence to a standardized rollout methodology, alignment to the latest standards, compliance with Change Framework standards, status reporting, governance meeting preparation; RAID management, KPI tracking; and delivering on programme communications.
  • Support entities to define their BAU Target Operating Model and transition plan to BAU, in line with the Operational RACI and identify opportunities to integrate and align with value streams, ensuring consistency across entities.
  • Provide post deployment support to entities, including ensuring sustainable operating models are in place and remediation plans are defined to address Year 1 Self-Assessment gaps.
  • Undertake thematic read-across comparison of all markets to establish common problems in order to identify and drive the most efficient remediation solutions
  • Whilst LoB process mapping teams will remain accountable for documenting and maintaining process maps for Important Business Services (IBSs) – the Global Delivery Management team will document, review and maintain process maps for Internal/Delivery Services and Payment Rails on which the IBSs depend. This includes the associated operational assets including critical skills and handoffs to other Internal services, including maintaining change control of these maps as per the group’s mapping standards.
  • Support Business Service Owners and Delivery Service Owners ‘stitch’ process maps to ensure that the end-to-end IBS is mapped to the required standards, including any internal service process maps.
  • Ensure that operational risk is highlighted and reduced. Highlight control gaps and document improvements.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies through the analysis of data held within Process Modelling tooling, as appropriate.
  • Act as an SME on ARIS/Process Modelling tooling to broader OpRes community; and provide advice and support.
  • Build strong relationships across the Business Architecture teams, the business and Group Infrastructure teams to understand their requirements and help deliver business objectives, including future state architectures.

Requirements

  • Process mapping: Ability to map, model and document end to end business processes. Experience in using process mapping tools (ARIS)
  • Operational Resilience: High level understanding of operational resilience regulatory requirements, the broader landscape, and the challenges for firms with a global footprint.
  • Banking: Experience within the Banking sector preferable
  • Process Improvement – Ability to identify and communicate process improvement and business optimization opportunities.
  • Communication and influence – Strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely present information in a manner appropriate to the audience.
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration: Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and transcend organization boundaries to achieve results.
  • Problem solving: Creative and pragmatic approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions
  • Self-starter: Self-starting, with strong intellectual curiosity that drives a proactive continuous improvement mindset.
  • Attention to detail: High quality deliverables that meet/achieve expectations, with no/ few errors
