Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at ThoughtSpot. In this role, you’ll manage accounting operations, playing a key role in financial accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

What Youll Do

• Record and review journal entries ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare weekly vendor payment details, process payments in the bank, record payment entries, and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Coordinate with payroll partners to manage payroll payments, perquisite filings, and tax compliance.
• Perform account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements for respective entities.
• Provide clear explanations for variances in financial and accounting metrics.
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits and handle local compliances.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the R2R process.
• Supervise and maintain internal controls within the R2R function.
  
  

What You Bring

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience independently managing accounting operations, including General Ledger accounting, Prepaid and Fixed Assets management, Credit Card/Forex Card operations, Audit management, SOP implementation, and basic tax and compliance processes (TDS, GST, Corporate Tax)
• Proven expertise in month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and preparation of audit schedules.
• Strong understanding of international accounting principles and processes.
• Proficiency in financial tools, ERP systems, and reporting.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and process management skills.
