Job Title: QA - Performance Engineering Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Performance Engineering Manager to lead our performance engineering team. The successful candidate have at-least 15 years of experience and will be responsible for ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and reliability. This role involves hands-on contribution, strategic planning, technical leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and enhance user experience.

Key Role Information

  • Experience: 10-15 years experience
  • Must Have: JMeter, APM, DD, deep understanding of microservices performance, NoSQL dBs - MongoDB, async architecture patterns, UI/client-side performance, performance metrics
  • Nice to have: ADO, ALT

Key Responsibilities

Hands-on technical contributor as well as leading scrum-based teams driving Performance Engineering Delivery and Strategy. Ensuring robust and scalable performance framework that enhance the stability, reliability and efficiency of our platform. 

Framework Development And Management

  • Lead the design and development of scalable and maintainable E2E UI & API Performance frameworks for the Platform applications. 
  • Evaluate and implement Performance tools and technologies that align with the companys goals and technical infrastructure. 

Performance Strategy

  • Develop and implement comprehensive performance engineering strategies that align with business goals.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and standards for applications and infrastructure.

Planning, Execution And Optimization

  • Oversee the design and execution of performance tests, planning, scheduling, for various types of performance tests such as load, soak, stress, and endurance testing.
  • Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks and work with development teams to optimize application performance.

Collaboration And Communication

  • Collaborate with development, QA, Dev, Operations, and Product teams to integrate performance engineering practices into the SDLC.
  • Communicate performance findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management.

Tools And Technologies

  • Evaluate, select, and implement performance testing tools and technologies that support the organization’s needs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in performance engineering and testing.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive initiatives to improve performance engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Lead post-performance test reviews to capture lessons learned and apply them to future projects.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential performance risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure system stability and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Performance engineering, Performance Testing, and Optimization.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing technical teams.
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, or similar.
  • Proficient in capturing performance metrics and analysis across the web applications, databases and asynchronously connected systems architecture.
  • Knowledge of application performance monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience in cloud environments and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).

Minimum Years Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or BCA + MCA
