Job Overview

We are seeking a Lead Automation Tester who can set direction for automation initiatives, guide and mentor a small team, and ensure robust, scalable automation practices. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, requiring strong Python skills, deep automation experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both clients and cross-functional teams.

Primary Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python with solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools
• Proven ability to lead a small technical team and communicate effectively with clients
• Hands-on experience with web and mobile application UI automation using tools such as Selenium and Appium
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, QA practices, and frameworks like Pytest or Unittest
• Strong analytical and logical thinking, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve challenges independently
• Self-driven, accountable, and capable of taking ownership of problems to achieve team goals
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to sharing ideas, providing constructive feedback, and driving improvements
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Test Management software, Bug Tracking tools, and other QA-related systems

• Provide technical leadership in automation by setting direction, mentoring a small team, and ensuring high standards of quality
• Take ownership of QA for specific applications/modules, balancing leadership with hands-on automation work
• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable Python-based automation framework
• Guide the team in analyzing automation execution failures within CI/CD environments and driving actionable insights
• Build a deep understanding of the product/application and proactively identify opportunities to enhance quality through automation
• Continuously evolve automation frameworks, tools, and processes by introducing new solutions and best practices
• Foster collaboration across QA engineers, developers, and stakeholders while resolving blockers independently
• Partner with US-based teams, including participation in evening meetings when required
