Responsibilities:

Summary:

The Guidewire Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, processes, and data to support the implementation and optimization of the Guidewire platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in the insurance industry and a strong understanding of Guidewire applications. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that solutions align with business goals and system capabilities.

The Guidewire Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, processes, and data to support the implementation and optimization of the Guidewire platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in the insurance industry and a strong understanding of Guidewire applications, particularly in Auto and Commercial Vehicle Insurance domains. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that solutions align with business goals and system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Analyse and map business processes to align with Guidewire functionalities.
  • Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
  • Conduct gap analysis and suggest solutions to improve business processes.
  • Participate in the support, configuration, integration, and testing efforts.
  • Collaborate with product managers and underwriters to define insurance product components using the Advanced Product Designer (APD) app.
  • Translate business product definitions into APD configurations, including coverages, conditions, and exclusions.
  • Simulate and validate product behavior using APD’s visual tools before deployment.
  • Ensure alignment between APD-generated artifacts and downstream Guidewire modules.
  • Maintain and update product metadata to support continuous product innovation.
  • Assist in developing test cases and perform testing to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Provide user training and support during and after implementation.
  • Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams.
  • Prepare project documentation, including requirements documents, process flows, and user manuals.
  • Monitor project progress and report on status to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on Guidewire product features, enhancements, and industry trends.


Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of P&C insurance processes.
  • Domain expertise in Auto and Commercial Vehicle Insurance products, including coverages, rating structures, and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience with Guidewire modules.
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire Advanced Product Designer (APD).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Other Requirements:

  • Guidewire certification(s)
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management.
