Roles And Responsibilities

Provide Engineering Support

Prepare plans for preventive maintenance and spares procurement; Monitor energy consumed by machines and take action to conserve energy in electrical and fuel savings in order to ensure efficient operations of plant and machinery and adherence to defined expenditure budget.

Manage Production Activities

Maintaining reordering levels of spares and coordinate procurement after checking the same; Ensure stores audits are conducted once in three months; maintain records and registers; monitor machine performance and ensure timely availability of appropriate spares

Buy and Pay for Materials and Services

Responsible for engineering stores expenditures. Raise a Request and Forward to purchase, negotiate jointly and shortlist vendor. Check and Certify bills coordinate with Accounts in order to ensure timely procurement and payment for stores related items

Ensure Statutory and Legal compliance

Periodically review license status for statutory needs of Electricity Board , Electrical licensing Board , Periodically inspection of Stacker, Doc and DG. Visit required statutory authorities and arrange for inspections in order to ensure safe working conditions in the Factory

Review and Reporting

Take regular rounds and review process log books to monitor plant and machinery performance, discuss production problems with concerns, Monitor safety aspects inside the factory, particularly electrical installations, ensure efficient and safe functioning of plant and machinery

Others

Review current year expenses on power and fuel consumption data, maintenance and repair cost

Scrap/ Waste Management -Assess machine condition and availability of spares; take decision on selling; coordinate for disposal
