Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence roles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree Preferred: Master’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or related discipline
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Data Analytics/Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems, Economics, Computer Science

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

As an Associate in Data Engineering and Master Data Management (MDM), you’ll support the development and maintenance of Informatica MDM solutions, contribute to data transformation workflows using Python/PySpark, and assist in DevOps practices for deployment and monitoring. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver clean, trusted, and reliable master data and data engineering solutions:

  • MDM Development & Configuration (Informatica MDM)

– Assist in configuring Informatica MDM workflows, match/merge rules, and survivorship logic

– Support integration of MDM hub with source and target systems (ERP, CRM, cloud platforms)

– Monitor batch and real-time synchronization jobs and resolve basic issues

– Validate master records for duplicates, anomalies, and missing attributes

  • Scripting & Data Engineering (Python / PySpark)

– Write Python or PySpark scripts for data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment

– Reuse existing frameworks for batch processing and automation tasks

– Perform unit testing and debugging of scripts under senior guidance

– Gain exposure to PySpark optimizations such as partitioning and caching

  • DevOps & Deployment Support

– Assist in deployment of Informatica MDM jobs and PySpark pipelines using CI/CD pipelines

– Learn and apply DevOps practices for automation, monitoring, and alerting

– Use Git for version control and follow branching and code review processes

– Support build, deployment, and rollback procedures in multi-environment setups (DEV/QA/PROD)

  • SQL Querying & Data Validation

– Write SQL queries for data profiling, joins, aggregations, and validations from MDM repositories

– Perform reconciliation between source systems and MDM hubs

– Document anomalies and escalate to senior engineers for remediation

  • Data Quality & Governance Support

– Execute profiling and cleansing activities to improve master data quality

– Document transformation rules, survivorship policies, and validation checks

– Collaborate with data stewards and DQ teams to ensure compliance with governance standards

  • Collaboration & Agile Delivery

– Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

– Collaborate with business analysts, data stewards, and senior associates for requirement clarification

– Provide timely updates on assigned tasks and raise blockers early

  • Documentation & Continuous Learning

– Maintain technical documentation for MDM workflows, PySpark scripts, and DevOps processes

– Create operational FAQs and runbooks for recurring activities

– Actively upskill in Informatica MDM, PySpark performance tuning, and DevOps automation tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD)

– Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior engineers
