Overview Of Job
WPP Media, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Business Director - Content to join us.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to Senior Business Director - Content.

In Three Months
In this role, your goals will be:
- Fully Exposed to live projects and pipeline & able to understand the work & process.
- Develop new thinking on Branded Content in existing or new projects, be it the use of emerging technology, integration of digital & social, use of influencers, and/or partnerships.
- Collaborate with Digital, Insight and Activation.
- Active client engagement
- Participate in creation of Content Calendars for clients.
- Up to speed with WPP Media’s value proposition and able to articulate this confidently.
In Six Months
- Develop a project pipeline at each stage of opportunity development.
- Start managing proactive pitches to clients, also includes developing ideas on top of Impact properties
- Form a trust between your team, business teams and your clients in terms of consultancy and content strategy.
- Develop and implement a branded content for clients if required.
- You will be working closely with the content teams in all agencies under WPP Media for market opportunities, execution and with business teams and GMs for brand / client understanding.
- Manage and work with the team to continuously sense the pulse of what’s emerging in Branded Content
In 12 Months
- Co- Lead Branded Content project brainstorms and develop proposals that are highly integrated with the other units within agency and/or specialist units within the WPP Media network.
- You will support in new business pitch to deliver consumer content consumption insight & brand content solutions.
- You will deliver the best practice achieved in the past 12 months and share the learning & key observation on the market in team & agency level.
- Get award wins across key forums
- Profile “Content+ Connections” as best in class
What Your Day Job Looks Like At WPP Media
- Conceptualizing and leveraging use of content for brands for active engagement with consumers & meeting brand challenges/ objectives
- Supervision of production budgets, contracts and other commercial terms between all parties involved
- Evangelizing the use of content in brand media plans for teams across clients
- Development, pitching and execution of projects across media touch points and clients / relevant media partners
- Assist in deal negotiation and closure with broadcasters, film, event owners, film producers and TV producers for a win-win proposition for all parties concerned
- To assist senior to research, liaison, develop and implement film and TV brand focused content/production projects.
- Invent and foster innovative ideas
- Constant look out of new business and partnership opportunities
What You’ll Bring
- You bring the idea to life, through your production capabilities – photo shop, editing.
- Your project management skills, will help in keeping the project deliverables on track.

- Understands the various genres of television and film and has created content for the same (all mediums along with digital)
- Having an experience of working with diverse teams, handling projects & excelling in people interactions will play an important role
- Isn’t wary of getting their hands dirty or stepping into the trenches
Minimum Qualifications
- Will need to have a minimum experience of 7+ years’ experience in production, content, media and entertainment
- You should have worked in a production house/television channel/digital agency/multi-channel network.
- You are adept at various facets of content production – Photoshop, video editing, project management (preferred).
- Have a basic understanding of Content production from pre to post.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to convince and influence other effectively
