Job Overview

Area Sales Manager- South is responsible for assisting in developing the sales in the territory of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala for Poultry business.


Base location- Coimbatore/Bangalore.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement feasible sales action plan, to develop, retain and achieve sales target.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to define product positioning, arguments, selling tools and communication plan
  • Visit customers, bring technical and product supports when needed
  • Work closely with the Category Managers, Marketing team to align product solution strategies and define action plan for customers including key account
  • Contribute to monthly sales forecast and to participate in the S&OP meeting
  • Working as a partnership with our distributor, implementing mutually agreeable and attainable strategies to grow the business in the territories.
  • To initiate or support the technical program by providing training to distributors and its team to achieve the sales budget or target set especially for specialty products
  • To find out customers’ needs and to focus on the products’ benefits and its value to our customers rather than just selling what the company has to offer
  • Establish networks of contact and build strong customer relationships with end-users and know all the key decision makers.
  • Analyze and understand customer needs, dynamics and identify growth opportunities
  • Share customer visit, market information, project opportunity, follow up on sales leads etc. in Sales Force / ACE
  • Actively participate during the internal commercial sales follow up meeting, identify gaps, propose and implement remedy action plan
  • Ensure good coordination
  • Assist during industry exhibits or customer seminars.
  • Participate in setting annual sales budget for the territory.
  • Working with cross functional team particularly with Customer Service to constantly strike for high customer satisfaction

KPIs

  • Volume, ASP, market penetration, market share, growth rate, customer gain & retention.
  • Forecast accuracy
  • ACE update, and follow up action timely and accurately
  • Sales project pipe and GKA/RKA action plans
  • Customers’ satisfaction
  • Success of product launch


Qualifications


Education: BSc/MSc Biology or Science, DVM, Marketing or Business degree (optional)


Work Experience: More than 5 years’ experience in the feed industry in technical, marketing and/or sales positions in Poultry segment

  • Leadership- proven experience in team management
  • Ability to motivate, convince and lead

  • Energetic and self-driven with good Business Acumen
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Team player- should be able to collaborate team and with internal & external stakeholders
