The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts that drive business planning and ensure product availability. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration to align demand plans with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Reporting & Analysis: Create accurate and timely reports for the assigned business area.
Forecasting & Replenishment: Collaborate with Planners and Buyers to manage replenishment inventory through accurate forecasting, ensuring in-stock goals are met.
Inventory Management: Apply concepts such as stock-store minimums/presentation minimums, maximums, safety-stock, review time, lead time, and store-to-store transfers to optimize inventory.
Stock Balancing: Maintain in-stock goals through effective product distribution; analyze sales history and trends to maximize sales potential with allocation strategies that maintain proper store inventory levels.
Business Performance Monitoring: Analyze and summarize category performance, monitoring sales, inventory, margin, and other factors impacting in-stocks and profitability.
Operational Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of assigned categories,
including business and operational metrics.
Execute Strategies: Execute strategies to drive supply chain initiates to support alternative forms of fulfillment
Communication: Ensure timely and proactive communication with key stakeholders
Requirements
Graduate/Postgraduate with 1–3 years of relevant work experience (retail industry and supply chain experience preferred).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills with knowledge of forecasting and statistical concepts.
Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of other MS Office tools.
Strong planning and operational skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Highly motivated, results-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
