Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer (Architect) to lead the design and delivery of multi-cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise cloud strategies. This role plays a critical part in enabling agility, innovation, and cost-efficiency across all applications by architecting scalable, secure, and resilient cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize cloud services on AWS, GCP, and other cloud providers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
- Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform (preferred), Ansible
- Programming languages: Java, Python, or Go (minimum 4+ years experience in one language)
- Cloud Platforms: AWS or GCP (minimum 4+ years experience in architecture and implementation)
- Container & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (minimum 2+ years experience)
- Cloud Networking, Traffic Management, Security best practices
- Observability tools: Prometheus, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud Native Application Architectures
- API Gateway tools
- CNCF technologies
- Additional Infrastructure Automation tools: CloudFormation, ARM templates
Overall Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and engineering of multi-cloud infrastructure services in accordance with enterprise cloud strategy.
- Conduct hands-on evaluations of cloud service tools and platforms for critical application adoption.
- Design, implement, and optimize cloud systems, ensuring security, availability, and high performance.
- Translate strategic cloud visions into detailed, actionable plans and guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with product and development teams to integrate cloud capabilities into applications.
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing cloud platforms and dependencies.
- Maintain awareness of emerging cloud technologies and manage vendor relationships to leverage innovations.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards across cloud environments.

Programming Languages:
- Must Have: Java, Python, or Go – 4+ years of software development experience
- Preferred: Additional languages or frameworks relevant to cloud automation
Databases/Data Management:
- Basic understanding of cloud storage and database solutions (e.g., Cloud SQL, DynamoDB)
Cloud Technologies:
- Must Have: Strong experience with AWS or GCP, focusing on compute, network, storage, and security layers

Frameworks and Libraries:
- Containerization: Docker

Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure design and implementation for enterprise-scale platforms on AWS or GCP.
- At least 4+ years of software development experience in Java, Python, or Go.
- 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure automation tools, especially Terraform.
- 2+ years working with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience designing secure, resilient, multi-tenant cloud services.
- Familiarity with modern cloud networking, security, and traffic management principles.
Additional experience in:
- Multi-cloud architectures
- CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud-native application deployment
- Observability and monitoring tools

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in enterprise-grade cloud architecture design and implementation.
- Continuous learning through workshops, certifications, and industry conferences.
