Job Description

A Cost Controller plays a vital role in the financial management and cost efficiency of an organization. Tasked with monitoring, analyzing, and managing costs to ensure that they remain within budgetary constraints, the Cost Controller is essential in maintaining an organization's financial health. Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial information for reporting and budgeting purposes.

  • Prepare monthly budget forecasts and variance analysis reports for review.
  • Liaise with project managers to ensure costs are managed effectively.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial models for cost tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify areas of potential cost reduction.
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases and financial forecasts.
  • Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and budgetary alignment.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to develop cost standards and reporting tools.
  • Support audits and provide necessary documentation for review processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in cost control or financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
