Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead SDET to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of robust test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications. You will leverage your expertise in JavaScript, WebdriverIO, and Appium to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products while managing a team of QA engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks using JavaScript, WebdriverIO, and Appium for web and mobile applications.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for API testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage and adherence to quality standards.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate testing processes and facilitate continuous integration and deployment.
  • Define and execute test strategies that align with project requirements and business objectives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Mentor and guide team members in test automation best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to ensure alignment of testing activities with project timelines and requirements.
  • Analyse test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and work with development teams to address issues and optimize system quality.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in software testing and automation, driving the adoption of new tools and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation using JavaScript, WebdriverIO, and Appium.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing automated tests for web and mobile applications, as well as API automation.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and hands-on experience with Jenkins for build and deployment automation.
  • Expertise in defining and implementing effective test strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior QA engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and align testing activities with business requirements.
