Job Description

Implement, manage and support multiple vendor routers, switches, SDWAN, and load balancers.

• Implement, manage and support private cloud network infrastructure in a multi-VR environment, supporting many overlapping private customer networks.
• Implement, manage and support secure network infrastructure adhering to HIPAA and PCI-DSS requirements, provide evidence to security compliance teams for ongoing audits.
• Maintain and support a multi-tenant private cloud infrastructure supporting many overlapping private customer networks.
• Directly communicate with customers, hardware/software vendors and service providers.
• Apply mastery level expertise with knowledge of industry trends and ability to apply concepts in support of business requirements.
• Find solutions to isolate, resolve, and prevent the most complex network transport problems across multiple teams/technologies.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts within the data center network, external to the data center over various WAN connectivity methods, and over Internet-based connectivity.
• Independently review and verify changes/solutions of high complexity and ensure governance and change management practices are followed.
• Lead network related improvement projects in the private cloud environment to meet business needs and customer requirements.
• Act as Teir-3/4 support for troubleshooting and resolution of any network problems.
• Maintains organizational SLO, SLA, and business continuity programs.
• Provide on call support.
  
  

• 7+ years network experience in large-scale global environments; including the installation, maintenance and ongoing support of routers, switches, SDWAN and load-balancer solutions.
• Experience designing and delivering solutions for customers within budget and on time. Must be prepared to discuss solutions and make sound decisions.
• Must have solid experience:
• Configuration and support of data center switches, experience with Dell Networks OS10 Switches highly preferred.
• Configuration and support of WAN routers, Juniper routers and JunOS experience highly preferred.
• Configuration and support of SDWAN solutions, Versa SDWAN experience highly preferred.
• Configuration and support of data center firewalls, Palo Alto or equivalent.
• Configuration and support of network load balancers, A10 or equivalent.
• Configuration and support of AWS Public Cloud network and AWS network security.
• Working with Voice-over-IP protocols and Network QoS highly preferred.
• BGP routing subject matter expert level required.
• Experience with Equinix Fabric and CloudFlare Magic Transit DDoS a major benefit.
• Networking troubleshooting using various tools including packet sniffers and real-world traffic simulation tools to monitor and isolate problems.
• Experience managing, mentoring and training junior and mid-level network engineers
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Highest network industry certifications (CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, etc) and/or equivalent work experience.
