Job Description

The role of Manager – Production & Operations Planning is a pivotal position within the manufacturing and operations industry, ensuring that production processes are carried out efficiently and meet the strategic goals of the organization. The individual in this position will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of production schedules, inventory management, resource allocation, and the alignment of production processes with quality and regulatory standards. The Manager will collaborate closely with various departments, including supply chain, engineering, and quality assurance, to secure timely product delivery and enhance operational efficiency. This role demands strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. A successful candidate will play a significant role in optimizing production capabilities, improving product quality, minimizing costs, and delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute production plans to meet customer demand and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment in production and operations activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage the supply chain to ensure material availability.
  • Implement and improve operational policies and procedures to increase efficiency.
  • Oversee the development of short, medium, and long-term production forecasts and plans.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards in all production processes.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Manage human and material resources effectively to maximize production efficiency.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of production staff to achieve high performance.
  • Collaborate with the procurement department to manage supplier relationships and contracts.
  • Utilize technology and systems to optimize production operations and manage workflows.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and operational metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in production and operations management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective decision-making.
  • Proven leadership abilities to lead cross-functional production teams successfully.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and production software.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control principles and production management techniques.
