Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance activities on electrical systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems to determine necessary repairs or replacements.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices to ensure systems are safe.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications.
• Follow detailed blueprints, schematics, and manuals to complete assignments accurately.
• Monitor and maintain electrical equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions and compliance.
• Coordinate with other maintenance and engineering staff to support electrical system operations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and updates to electrical systems.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local safety codes and regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations involving electrical systems and provide immediate resolutions.
• Stay updated with new developments in electrical systems and maintenance techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training preferred.
• Valid electrician’s license or certification required for this position.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing devices, and repair techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot intricate electrical issues.
