Linux System Administrator (225-731)

We are seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a variety of Linux-based servers and systems efficiently.
• Install, upgrade, and configure Linux operating systems and software packages.
• Monitor system performance and resource utilization for peak efficiency.
• Develop and implement server backup and recovery solutions effectively.
• Ensure security through access controls, firewalls, and regular security updates.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly to minimize disruption.
• Automate system processes and tasks using scripting and open-source tools.
• Collaborate with developers to support application deployment on Linux infrastructure.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and policies thoroughly and accurately.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Linux technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in after-hours on-call support and perform necessary maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably within a mid to large environment.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems such as Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu.
• Familiarity with common scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl for task automation.
• Experience in network management and ensuring system security and data encryption.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure environments.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
