Job Description

The Housekeeping Executive plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall aesthetics of a facility. This position is typically found in hotels, resorts, and large establishments where the maintenance of the environment is crucial to the guest experience. The Housekeeping Executive oversees the housekeeping staff and ensures that all rooms and public areas meet the organization’s standards for cleanliness and comfort. This role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality service. The successful candidate will coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience, manage inventory and supplies, and ensure that all safety and sanitation standards are adhered to diligently.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily activities of the housekeeping staff and ensure duties are completed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness.
  • Manage supplies inventory and place orders as necessary to maintain stock.
  • Develop and implement cleaning strategies tailored to the facility's requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain service standards.
  • Coordinate with other department heads to streamline operations and resolve issues.
  • Address guest complaints about housekeeping services promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols to safeguard staff and guests.
  • Prepare and manage the housekeeping department's budget and financial records.
  • Execute deep cleaning and special project cleaning schedules as required.
  • Maintain open communication with the front desk regarding room status updates.
  • Monitor and record cleaning service performance metrics and implement improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Executive or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Capability to train and supervise large teams in a high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with housekeeping procedures and custodial services is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards is critical.
