Responsibilities

• Assist bakers in preparing bakery items following established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery equipment and workstations.
• Ensure the bakery's inventory is well-stocked by assisting with stock counts and orders.
• Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries and orders promptly.
• Package bakery products efficiently and label them correctly for retail presentation.
• Assist in the decoration and display of cakes, pastries, and other baked goods.
• Monitor the freshness of products and remove expired items from displays.
• Operate cash registers and manage transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the baking team to innovate and test new bakery products.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support in the opening and closing procedures of the bakery as required.
• Provide input and feedback to improve bakery operations and customer service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is preferred.
