Job Description

As a Junior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the procurement process for our company by assisting with the purchasing and supply management functions. Working closely with senior buyers and procurement managers, you will help ensure that our organization fulfills its need for products and materials at the best possible price and quality. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of market trends will enable you to effectively contribute to the purchasing operations. Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels to ensure adequate and timely replenishment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and new products.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Review and analyze supplier quotes and provide recommendations for supplier selection.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications.
  • Support the senior buying team in sourcing activities and supplier evaluation processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important procurement data.
  • Assist in resolving issues with orders, deliveries, and invoices with vendors.
  • Participate in meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders to discuss purchasing strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing department.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, changes, and advancements in procurement practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a purchasing or procurement role preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and improve procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis purposes.
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in procurement documentation.
