Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Junior Buyer to join our purchasing team. As a Junior Buyer, you will play a critical role in the procurement process, assisting in maintaining the quality and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain operations. Your role will involve supporting the Senior Buyer in evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that materials are delivered on time. You must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Buyer in sourcing suppliers and negotiating favorable contracts.
  • Maintain updated inventory records and track procurement of materials.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and reliability to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Conduct market analysis to support procurement strategies and decision-making.
  • Process purchasing orders and ensure timely delivery of goods or services.
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues relating to price discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with logistics to coordinate inbound shipments and inventory receipt.
  • Support in annual budget preparations and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on procurement data, highlighting any potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical purchasing standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase requisitions and other documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data-driven tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for vendor interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for reporting purposes.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively under deadlines.
  • Familiarity with ERP software and procurement processes is highly desirable.
