A Front Desk Agent is a pivotal figure in the hospitality industry, as they serve as the primary point of contact for guests at a hotel or other lodging establishment. Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel establishment.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently and courteously.
  • Handle room bookings, cancellations, and confirmations with accuracy.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
  • Provide guests with information regarding hotel services and local attractions.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain updated records of room availability and occupancy reports.
  • Process payments and manage accurate billing for all hotel services used.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to address guest requests.
  • Conduct end-of-day cash and report balancing for management review.
  • Assist in managing guest reservations and accommodate special requests.
  • Ensure lobby and front desk areas are clean and presentable at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and booking systems.
  • Strong customer service skills with a pleasant and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure or in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
