Job Description

The role of an F&B Attendant is a crucial component of the hospitality industry, often serving as the frontline ambassador for restaurants, hotels, and other food and beverage establishments. As an F&B Attendant, you're responsible for ensuring guests have an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive and personalized service. This includes taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing guest inquiries or concerns. You will work closely with other staff, including chefs and kitchen staff, to ensure the smooth operation of the dining service. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude are essential in this role to ensure each guest leaves satisfied and eager to return.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously upon their arrival at the venue.
  • Present menus and provide detailed descriptions of menu items and daily specials.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests, confirming special requests.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring the presentation meets venue standards.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables and floors.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and address any issues or complaints professionally.
  • Process transactions using a point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after service.
  • Restock necessary supplies, including cutlery, glassware, and condiments between shifts.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance service quality and guest experience.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food and beverage service is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for effective guest interactions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic arithmetic skills necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
