Job Description

As a Collection Executive, you will play a vital role in the financial ecosystem of our organization by managing and ensuring the successful recovery of outstanding debts. Your primary focus will center on interacting with clients and customers to negotiate repayment plans, addressing any issues that may affect payment compliance, and striving to resolve disputes amicably. This position requires an individual with strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of maintaining professionalism under pressure. You will be an integral part of the finance team, working closely with various stakeholders to minimize bad debts and enhance the company's cash flow and profitability. With an analytical mindset and the ability to assess risk, you will ensure debt collection processes align with legal guidelines and company policies.


Responsibilities

  • Contact clients and customers to discuss their financial obligations regularly.
  • Negotiate and establish payment plans according to customers’ financial situations.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or disputes quickly.
  • Use collection techniques to minimize overdue debts efficiently and effectively.
  • Review customer accounts regularly to identify and rectify potential risks timely.
  • Prepare reports on collection activities and progress for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legal requirements during collections.
  • Respond promptly to client and customer queries with accurate information.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor to protect the company’s brand and reputation.
  • Update databases and collection files to ensure all data is current and accurate.
  • Participate in training programs to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in debt collection or a related financial role required.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills essential for effective collections.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Familiarity with relevant legal regulations and industry standards is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with financial software systems.
