Job Description

A Maintenance Executive plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all operational assets are preserved in optimal working condition. This professional is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within an organization, including preventive maintenance, repair operations, and the coordination of facility servicing. The objective is to maintain a safe and efficient working environment, while minimizing downtime and equipment failures. As a critical member of the management team, the Maintenance Executive is tasked with implementing maintenance policies, managing budgets, and leading a team of skilled technicians. They must ensure that all maintenance tasks are executed in compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards, all while driving continuous improvement in processes and systems.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans for operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and lead maintenance staff in all aspects of their daily duties.
  • Establish protocols for routine checks and maintenance schedules for facilities.
  • Manage the maintenance budget including tracking expenses and cost forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and technical standards at all levels.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operational procedures.
  • Conduct quality inspections of completed maintenance tasks for effectiveness.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new maintenance personnel.
  • Monitor work orders and prioritize tasks for maximum efficiency and impact.
  • Audit maintenance processes for continuous improvement opportunities and modifications.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for facility functions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in managing technical teams.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and systems.
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
