Job Description

The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the manufacturing process within a company, ensuring that all production activities are executed efficiently and meet established quality standards. This role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure that products are produced on time and within budget. The Production Manager must manage and motivate a diverse team, harnessing their collective skills to drive the production process forward. Moreover, the role requires maintaining production schedules, ensuring preventative machinery maintenance, and meeting output targets. Leadership skills, strategic vision, and the ability to work under pressure are critical for success in this role. The Production Manager should also ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, making sure the production environment is safe for all staff members.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet the demands of the market.
  • Supervise and manage the performance of the production team daily.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of materials and resources to minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to manage delivery schedules and shipments.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate production processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Prepare regular reports on production progress and performance metrics.
  • Manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide training to enhance team skills.
  • Collaborate with R&D for the integration of new products into production.
  • Resolve any production issues that may arise promptly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a production management role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures in manufacturing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in using production management software and MS Office Suite tools.
