Job Description

As a Pharmaceutical Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving our sales force to ensure optimal sales operations. You will lead a team of dedicated sales representatives, providing them with the necessary guidance and strategic direction to improve market penetration and increase the company’s product share. Your role will include developing and implementing sales plans that align with the company’s objectives, and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers within the pharmaceutical industry. You will be responsible for staying informed about industry trends and competitor activities, using this knowledge to enhance the team’s sales tactics and strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of pharmaceutical products, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of pharmaceutical sales representatives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Monitor sales team performance and provide regular performance reviews and feedback.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to align sales efforts with promotional activities.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports to senior management periodically.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team’s knowledge and sales skills.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Utilize customer feedback to inform product development and improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience in a pharmaceutical sales leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and its regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends for strategic planning.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to attend meetings and client visits.
