Job Description

The Food and Beverage Assistant 04N25 is a key role within the hospitality sector, responsible for ensuring high-quality service and support in various dining and catering capacities. Individuals in this role are expected to assist with the preparation, delivery, and service of food and beverages to customers, always adhering to the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. The role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with the team and guests, providing experiences that exceed customer expectations. Flexibility in working hours is often required to accommodate different shifts, including weekends and holidays when the hospitality industry is at its busiest.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper presentation of all areas including dining, kitchen, and bar spaces.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and feedback to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure the timely delivery of meals and drinks.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer orders and handle billing processes effectively.
  • Support inventory management by reporting shortages and helping in stock rotation practices.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures.
  • Assist in setting up events and special functions, ensuring all client specifications are met.
  • Provide recommendations and information on menu items to facilitate customer choices.
  • Trained to operate and routinely clean beverage machines and other equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies as well as local and federal laws.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for consideration in this role.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills are needed to engage effectively with team and guests.
  • Must possess the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations is essential.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing customer payments.
