Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Executive is pivotal within the finance department, responsible for managing and overseeing the collection of outstanding invoices and debts owed to the company. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of credit management, ensuring that payments are received promptly and efficiently. The Accounts Receivable Executive will work closely with clients to mitigate any issues or disputes, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring that cash flow remains steady. This position will also involve preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and implementing best practices for debt collection. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have a solid understanding of financial accounting principles.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain records of all accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Evaluate and review customer accounts regularly to identify overdue payments.
  • Prepare, send, and follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment by clients.
  • Coordinate with clients to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes professionally.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure correct billing information and practices.
  • Provide monthly financial reports related to accounts receivable to management.
  • Implement effective credit control procedures to minimize bad debts and arrears.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments and accounts are accounted for.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounts receivable policies.
  • Maintain customer account records, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
  • Monitor and analyze customer payment trends and advise management accordingly.
  • Participate in financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or similar role.
  • Proficiency in financial software programs and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of basic financial and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to resolve issues, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
