Job Description

The Sales Application Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between customers' technical requirements and the company's product offerings. This pivotal role involves working closely with the sales team to provide technical support, generate leads, and deliver solutions that align with clients' needs. The Sales Application Engineer will utilize their deep understanding of engineering principles, market trends, and customer needs to effectively contribute to the growth and development of the company’s sales. Critical to this role is the ability to translate complex information into actionable strategies for sales efforts and customer satisfaction. The individual in this position must be adept at preparing compelling proposals and presentations while ensuring seamless collaboration between technical and sales divisions to meet and exceed customer expectations and company targets.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and propose effective solutions that align with product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers and prospective clients.
  • Participate in technical discussions with clients to understand their challenges and goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients to foster customer loyalty.
  • Evaluate competitor products and contribute insights to refine sales strategies.
  • Ensure that all customer interactions are professional, timely, and meet company standards.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, pricing calculations, and technical proposals.
  • Provide detailed product demonstrations and training sessions to customers.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams.
  • Contribute to marketing strategies that highlight product benefits and differentiate from competitors.
  • Collect and analyze market data to provide strategic feedback to the product development team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of three years experience in a technical sales or engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM software and technical drawing tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
