Job Description

As a Sales Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the sales team and our engineering departments. Your primary responsibility is to understand customer needs and deliver technical solutions that meet their requirements. You will serve as a technical consultant to the sales team, providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education. As part of the role, you will travel to client sites, provide presentations on product capabilities, and explain the benefits of how our technical solutions can meet the clients' needs. Your ability to translate customer requirements into specifications is crucial for driving sales and ensuring client satisfaction, as well as for maintaining new and existing product lines.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and consultancy to the sales team for client engagements.
  • Analyze customer requirements and tailor solutions to their specific needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients.
  • Assist in the quote preparation process, ensuring technical details are accurate.
  • Identify customer needs and market trends to drive product development initiatives.
  • Develop and sustain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Participate in training sessions to grow team knowledge on technical product offerings.
  • Document client specifications and maintain detailed records of all client interactions.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of technical solutions.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on industry trends and client needs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards in technical offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in a technical sales or applications role.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) and sales software.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and presentations as required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
