Job Description

We are seeking a highly responsible and experienced Safety Officer to join our team and ensure that all workplace safety standards are adhered to effectively. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing safety programs and protocols that ensure the well-being of all employees and comply with regulatory requirements. You will also be involved in conducting risk assessments, implementing safety procedures, and carrying out regular safety audits to prevent workplace injuries, illness, and accidents. This role demands excellent analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to foster a culture of safety within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and leadership abilities, capable of working alongside teams to enhance safety processes and provide training sessions to educate employees on workplace safety practices. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols tailored to organizational needs.
  • Conduct regular workplace safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with management to identify safety issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead safety training sessions to educate employees on precautionary measures and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of workplace safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Ensure all safety equipment and facilities are regularly inspected and maintained.
  • Stay updated with the latest health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to established safety rules.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive safety reports to senior management.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills.
  • Advise on safe equipment purchases and maintenance practices to prevent accidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a workplace safety role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and advise others.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and risk assessments.
  • Proficient in creating detailed safety reports and documentation.
  • Certification in safety management, such as CSP or similar accreditation, is preferred.
