Job Description

A Medical Sales Representative plays a crucial role in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry by promoting and selling medical products, from pharmaceuticals to equipment, to healthcare professionals and organizations. Working as a liaison between medical product manufacturers and healthcare providers, the role demands strong knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical procedures. A successful Medical Sales Representative needs to effectively explain the benefits of products, while also addressing client concerns and regulatory guidelines. The position often requires travel and fieldwork to visit medical offices, hospitals, and clinics, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement territory action plans to exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver product presentations to healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
  • Provide accurate product information and updates to customers regularly.
  • Identify potential new clients and convert prospects to active customers.
  • Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and events for networking.
  • Analyze sales data to identify market trends and promotional strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to strategize on account penetration techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal company policies.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Consult with healthcare teams to address product-related inquiries and feedback.
  • Continuously update knowledge of industry trends and product advancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminologies and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage client relationships.
  • Capability to travel frequently and work outside standard hours as needed.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and comprehensive manner.
