The Lead Analyst - Loan Operations plays a crucial role in overseeing the loan operations processes within a financial institution. This position requires a seasoned professional with deep knowledge of loan processing, compliance regulations, and data management. The Lead Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all loan operations are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with industry standards and company policies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading a team of analysts, optimizing workflow processes, and implementing best practices. They will also be responsible for identifying areas of improvement and recommending strategies to enhance operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily loan operations activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy in processes.
  • Lead a team of loan analysts, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of loan processing procedures and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve loan operations workflow.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to streamline loan processing systems.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on loan operation activities and performance metrics.
  • Identify risk factors in loan operations and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on new regulations and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between loan operations and other departments to resolve operational issues.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to enhance decision-making and operational processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes to continuously improve loan operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in loan operations or a similar role.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of professionals.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state loan compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data management and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in operational processes.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new software and technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or similar professional certification preferred.
