Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen staff to ensure high culinary standards are maintained.
  • Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with management to manage food costs and control inventory efficiently.
  • Select and source high-quality ingredients while establishing relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Manage scheduling and personnel issues to ensure a smoothly functioning kitchen team.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure consistent quality and standards.
  • Develop and test new recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting for guests.
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a reputed establishment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse kitchen team.
  • Extensive knowledge of modern cooking techniques and global culinary trends.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, food costs, and inventory management processes.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively coordinate kitchen operations.
