QA Analyst - IT (225-1007)

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst in the Information Technology sector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all IT systems and applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance before they reach the end users. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze software specifications, develop test strategies, design test cases, and execute both manual and automated tests to identify any bugs or issues. Your work will help maintain the reliability of software systems, enhance user satisfaction, and support the continuous improvement of IT processes. You'll collaborate closely with software development teams to understand and resolve issues, driving innovation and excellence in the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements to create detailed and comprehensive test plans.
• Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test scripts.
• Identify, document, and track defects found during testing phases.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to resolve system issues.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure resolution of previously identified issues.
• Review and assess quality of software components and systems regularly.
• Prepare quality assurance reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Maintain and update the automated test environments and frameworks.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and contribute to sprint planning.
• Recommend improvements and innovations to enhance software quality.
• Work independently and manage deadlines in a dynamic software environment.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Proficiency in using testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, and TestRail.
• Strong understanding of both manual and automated testing processes.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with development teams.
