Job Description

The Project Coordinator - Design is an integral part of the project management team, responsible for overseeing and coordinating design projects from inception to completion. This role requires collaboration with designers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with creative visions. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for design details, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. They will act as the central hub for all project-related communications, facilitating a seamless flow of information and resources. A successful Project Coordinator - Design will not only track progress but also foresee potential challenges, implementing strategic solutions to ensure project success.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee design projects from initial planning to final execution phases.
  • Communicate regularly with designers, clients, and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
  • Assist in the development of project timelines, ensuring deadlines are established and followed.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are complete and accessible.
  • Facilitate meetings to discuss project progress and address any issues or concerns.
  • Monitor project expenses, adhering to budget constraints and optimizing resources where possible.
  • Ensure that all design deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements.
  • Maintain an organized system for tracking project milestones and deliverables.
  • Support the team in resolving any design-related technical problems efficiently.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements to enhance project efficiency and outcome.
  • Provide regular project updates to management and clients, highlighting key achievements and risks.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages creative problem solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in design, project management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in project coordination within a design environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for team and client interactions.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Asana.
  • Familiarity with design processes and principles to effectively support the creative team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
