Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our reputable healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient examinations, assess medical histories, and diagnose health conditions accurately.

  • Perform medical procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care under supervision or independently.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, medications, and preventive care measures.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as authorized by supervising physician and state regulations.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document patient interactions in medical records.
  • Assist in surgical procedures, providing crucial support to the operating team as needed.
  • Conduct follow-up visits, evaluate patient outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Participate in healthcare team meetings to discuss patient cases and collaborate on care strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical advancements, protocols, and best practices in the field.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality of care.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant is mandatory.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and the medical team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage patient caseloads effectively.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
