Job Description

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating the daily operations of our logistics department, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of logistics personnel, maintaining effective communication channels across departments, and optimizing logistics processes to support business objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in managing the inventory systems, enhancing transportation routes, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will also be expected to handle challenges related to shipping and supply chain activities, implement strategic improvements, and support budgetary and cost-saving initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of logistics staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement effective logistics strategies and operations plans.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international transport regulations.
  • Analyze logistical challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiencies.
  • Provide training and coaching to logistics personnel to enhance performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles used for logistics purposes.
  • Implement safety procedures and conduct regular audits to uphold standards.

  • Prepare and analyze operational reports to maintain optimal performance.
  • Manage logistics budgets and implement cost-saving measures effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management roles is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a logistics team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of transportation and inventory management systems.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team and vendor relations.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in logistics management.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize operations.
