Job Description

The IT Support Associate Engineer is a vital member of the technical team, responsible for providing comprehensive support to ensure the smooth operation of IT services across the organization. This role requires a dynamic professional who can troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage support tickets, and maintain communication with both clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and has a foundational understanding of network systems, operating systems, and various software applications. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, supporting the technological needs of users and contributing to the overall efficiency of IT operations.


Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to all users across the organization.
  • Respond to service desk tickets, emails, and direct requests for technical help.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems including PCs and peripherals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of support activities and resolutions.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of user accounts and access permissions.
  • Monitor system performance and provide reports to senior IT staff for review.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex network and server issues.
  • Conduct regular system updates and patches to enhance security and performance.
  • Train and guide employees on the effective use of IT resources and tools.
  • Participate in various IT projects and contribute towards successful implementation.
  • Assist in maintaining the inventory of all IT equipment including tracking and disposal.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures to safeguard data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience in providing IT support in a corporate environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Understanding of basic network concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ would be an advantage.
