Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and aesthetic appeal of our organization's facilities. This position involves supervising a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that cleaning operations are carried out efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, excellent leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to quality service. You will be responsible for developing and implementing cleaning procedures, conducting inspections, and addressing any issues to uphold high cleanliness standards. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will work closely with other departments to ensure an optimal guest and employee experience.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, providing guidance and leadership to staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Train and mentor new housekeeping staff to maintain high-quality service.
  • Develop cleaning schedules and assign tasks based on priorities and staff availability.
  • Ensure all housekeeping activities are performed in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory and order cleaning supplies to prevent stock shortages.
  • Address guest complaints or issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Keep accurate records of cleaning activities and staff performance reviews.
  • Implement cost-effective measures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss housekeeping issues and updates.
  • Ensure that all cleanliness aspects are in compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory or similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage diverse responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of housekeeping operations, procedures, and equipment use.
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and order.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
