Job Description

The Finance Officer for the Hospitality sector is a pivotal role responsible for managing financial operations and ensuring the smooth running of financial activities within the organization. This role is uniquely challenging, as it demands a deep understanding of the hospitality industry's financial practices, coupled with the ability to implement and maintain accurate financial records and systems. As a Finance Officer, you will play an integral part in overseeing budgets, managing accounts, preparing financial statements, and advising on financial planning and investments. Responsibilities

  • Monitor cash flow, revenue projections, and budget forecasts to aid decision-making.
  • Coordinate with department heads to develop budgets and financial plans.
  • Conduct audits and manage discrepancies in the billing system.
  • Implement cost control measures and analyze financial data for optimization.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to conduct annual reviews.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with business goals.
  • Report financial performance and trends to top management and stakeholders.
  • Advise on investment opportunities and financial risks affecting future growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in financial management within hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
