Job Description

The ERP Implementation Engineer plays a critical role in aligning an organization's processes and operations with its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This position is key for ensuring that the ERP system is properly configured, integrated, and utilized to optimize business processes. The ERP Implementation Engineer must have a deep understanding of the organization's software and hardware infrastructure, as well as excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve implementation issues. This role requires highly organized individuals who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and coordinate between different departments to ensure a smooth implementation process. The ERP Implementation Engineer will work closely with IT specialists, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver a system that improves efficiency and supports business goals.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze the organization's current system requirements to plan the ERP implementation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for the ERP system.
  • Develop detailed project plans outlining the ERP implementation process and timelines.
  • Customize and configure ERP systems to align with organizational needs and processes.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions to improve system adoption and effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support during and after the implementation of the ERP system.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to ERP system configurations and processes.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during the ERP system setup and integration phases.
  • Test the ERP system to ensure it meets quality and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with software vendors to solve complex system problems and apply patches.
  • Monitor system performance and work with IT teams to optimize ERP resources.
  • Research and recommend improvements and upgrades to the ERP system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ERP system implementations or similar roles.
  • Proficiency with common ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex system configurations.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced implementation environment.
  • Experience in project management methods and tools to deliver effective ERP solutions.
